There are a few ways to commission some InStitchYou art depending on what you want for your wall. I can work from photographs to tell stories, depict houses or compose portraits.

Storytelling

These pieces are fun and whimsical, usually all told with a single line of thread. The story unravels as the viewer follows the rhythm of the piece. Hidden details, words and images are all brought together to make a completely unique and special stitched artwork which captures a special day or person.

I can be guided by you and what you have in mind to capture in stitches. Please get in touch of you have an idea. Other examples of the story stitching are; I can make a detailed artwork all about a loved one’s life.
Or I could illustrate the lives of two people, how they met, when they got married, the children and the adventures.
Or if it’s just one special day, like a Wedding day, you can tell me the story and send me photos and I can compose an artwork which documents the day.

These pieces vary in price depending on how big and how detailed you want the artwork. As a very rough guide:

  • A3 £200 - £400
  • A2 size £400 - £600
  • Bigger than A2 £600 - £1000+

Every commission is completely different so these prices really are a rough ball park figure. Please get in touch to talk about your specific idea.

House Portraits

I love stitching house’s from life, sitting in gardens and finding the colours and details of a building, however when en situ is not possible, I can work from photographs. My stitching style lends its self well to architecture and I would love to celebrate your home in stitches.

House portraits range in size and price. Depending on how large you would like the work to be and how much detail is in the house. As a very rough guide:

  • A3 £200 - £400
  • A2 size £400 - £600
  • Bigger than A2 £600 - £1000+

Every commission is completely different so these prices really are a rough ball park figure. Please get in touch to talk about your specific idea.

Portraits from Photographs

Meeting new people and discovering different personalities is one of the biggest reasons I love my job. When stitching a portrait from life or a Zoom call is not possible, I can work from photographs. It helps me enormously to receive multiple photos and a paragraph of writing about the person I am portraying in stitch.

  • Portraits from photographs start at £120
